Game rules
The social media game: free, no sign-up and no prize. These rules are completed by the dasmina general rules and by each network’s participation rules.
1. Description
There is no prize here. The Court Quiz is played on social media (TikTok, Instagram and YouTube), is free, needs no sign-up and hands out no prize, money, card or item of value, to anyone. Its only outcome is a fictional honorary title, Royal Courtier.
Each edition is called a Game and consists of 10 rounds, published as videos, one a day, on the official dasmina accounts. Each round consists of choosing one of the 4 factions (Red, Orange, Green, Blue) and arguing the choice. Rounds are split into two phases: the Initial Phase, with the Shield of the Masses, and the Final Phase, the last rounds —between 3 and 5, harder and without Shield—; every round shows its phase from the moment it is published. Participants are called Contestants.
2. Participants
Anyone over 18 with an active TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account may take part. No sign-up on dasmina.com is needed: you play by commenting. One account per person and network; using several accounts, bots or any artificial interaction to influence the result means those comments are annulled and do not count. The @s that comment appear in the public ranking on dasmina.com and in the register of Royal Courtiers; that is entertainment information which grants no access or advantage.
3. How to vote
You vote by commenting on the round’s video on the official dasmina account, with a top-level comment, before the official closing comment published by Her Majesty, from 08:00 the following day in Game 1 and from 14:00 from Game 2 onwards (Madrid time), whenever she pleases. The round is published around 12:00 in Game 1 and around 18:00 from Game 2 onwards (starting Monday 26 October 2026), and results are announced from 11:00 (Game 1) or from 17:00 (from Game 2) on the closing day; these are reference times.
The close is marked by the publication of the official closing comment from the dasmina account. Only the last valid comment of each user ID prior to that comment counts. The vote is the top-level comment: a reply to another comment is not a vote and does not count, even if it contains a faction and an explanation. A valid comment must contain the name of a faction (Red, Orange, Green or Blue — the Spanish names Rojo, Azul, Verde and Naranja count too; upper case, lower case or mixed) written as a separate word —with no letters or digits attached, and not joined to another word by a hyphen— and anywhere in the text; if more than one faction appears, the first one counts, and if none appears the coloured emoji is taken under the same rule. It must also include a mandatory explanation: at least 10 characters of your own text, not counting the faction, mentions or hashtags. “RED because yes” does not count.
Her Majesty’s comments. While a round is open, Her Majesty may comment on the video with hints, rumours or whims. They may be true, false or made up: they are not official hints and do not bind the result, because the correct answer is the one published with the results. They are not votes and do not close the vote; the only comment of hers with any effect is the closing one.
Counts as a vote:
- The faction name written in letters —Red, Blue, Green or Orange—, in upper case, lower case or mixed, and also in the plural: “reds”, “greens”.
- The faction anywhere in the comment: at the start, in the middle or as the last word, even with nothing after it.
- The faction next to a punctuation mark or an emoji: “GREEN!”, “green.”, “(green)”, “red/blue”.
- The coloured square (🟥 🟧 🟩 🟦) or its round equivalent, only if the comment names no faction in letters: the word beats the emoji.
- Each court in its own language: in the videos of the English account only Red, Blue, Green and Orange count; in the Spanish account, only the Spanish names.
Does not count as a vote:
- The faction name attached to other letters or digits: “greenhouse”, “reddish”, “blue2”.
- The faction joined to another word by a hyphen or an underscore: “green-apple”, “navy-blue”.
- The faction inside a mention of another account, such as “@green_lover”: mentions are user names, not votes.
- The English names in the videos of the Spanish account, where “red” is an everyday Spanish word meaning network.
- A comment that names a faction but does not argue it: without the characters of your own explanation required above it does not count, however clear the faction may be.
- Anything published after the closing comment; and of everything before it, only your last valid comment counts.
- Anything beyond the first 1,000 characters of the comment: that is what is stored as the evidence of the vote and what is read in order to decide it, so a faction written past that limit does not count. The same cap applies to the argument in the web vote.
In the Court Quiz, the sole reference for the count is the list of comments that TikTok, Instagram or YouTube show dasmina as the author of the post. The platforms apply their own automatic filters: they hide, delay or flag as spam normal comments by criteria they do not publish, without telling the author or the organiser and without the organiser being able to review them. If TikTok, Instagram or YouTube do not publicly show a comment, that comment does not count, and the organiser is not answerable for a decision that is not in its hands. Nor do comments from private or blocked accounts count, nor those deleted before the count, even if their author still sees them published on their screen: the list each user sees in their own app is no reference, because it is usually filtered for not being the video’s author. That is why the registered contestant has, in their dasmina.com panel, a way to check whether their comment has been recorded —and when the comments were last read— while the round is still open, and may comment again before closing so the next read picks it up. The organiser, for its part, undertakes to read the comments of each round to the end before resolving it.
Commenting from the web, the last two hours. Since platforms may hide a comment or the organiser may fail to understand it, from 06:00 (Game 1) or 12:00 (from Game 2) on the closing day of each round until the official closing comment on their network, anyone who has registered and verified their TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account on dasmina.com can also leave their comment from their panel, with the faction and their argument. It counts exactly like a comment posted on their network, under the same validity rules, and the same norm applies: of all their comments, the latest one counts, be it on the network or on dasmina.com.
Palace Courtiers. The Queen has 25 palace courtiers (13 Castilian and 12 English) who are accounts of the organiser, not people. They vote from dasmina.com, each once per round, for a faction chosen at random and with their argument, to spark debate; they never comment on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. They only vote while the round has fewer than 25 participants, from 06:00 (Game 1) or 12:00 (from Game 2) on the closing day until the first official closing comment. Their votes count like any other in the split and in the Shield of the Crowd, and they appear on dasmina.com with the crown 👑 and their name, never with a social media account. They are listed in the ranking and in the register of Royal Courtiers like anyone else. They are not the artificial interaction forbidden in section 2: they belong to the organiser, are declared in these rules and are always identified. In force from 13 October 2026, also in Game 1, which began with no participants who could be harmed by it: this is the only exception to the rule that mechanics changes apply to the following Game.
4. Elimination
The two phases have different elimination criteria:
- Initial Phase — Shield of the Masses: the wrong faction with the fewest valid votes falls. A wrong faction with zero valid votes is not deemed the least voted: the wrong faction with the fewest votes among those with at least one falls, and if no wrong faction has any votes nobody is eliminated in that round. The correct faction never falls. If two or more wrong factions tie on the fewest valid votes, the tie is broken by the round’s number within the Game (the first round is 1 and the last is 10, the number shown on each video): in an even-numbered round all the tied factions fall; in an odd-numbered round none of them falls and the elimination does not pass to the next faction, so nobody is eliminated in that round. Her Majesty may unleash her Wrath and eliminate everyone who did not get it right; she must declare it before voting closes, the time is recorded and it is only known when the result is published. Suspected coordinated manipulation of the Shield is among the reasons. The Masses are counted with every valid comment on the round, across all of the Queen’s official networks and both languages (Spanish and English), in a single tally.
- Final Phase — no Shield: everyone who does not get it right is eliminated, no matter how many votes their faction has.
Whoever does not comment in a round has no vote and is eliminated. In the Quiz there are no Extra Lives; the only thing that returns someone to the title is Her Majesty’s Pardon (general rules). Whoever falls may keep commenting in the following rounds: their votes still count for the Shield of the Masses, even if no longer competing for the title.
5. Royal Courtier
Those who vote in the last round of a Game and have been eliminated in none are named Royal Courtiers and appear in that Game’s register of courtiers. It is a fictional honorary title, with no economic value, not redeemable for anything.
6. Social networks
This game is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by any social network. Each platform’s disclaimers are in the general rules, and each network’s specific participation rules are here: TikTok · Instagram · YouTube · X.
7. Everything else
Changes and privacy are governed by the dasmina general rules, which form part of these. In the Quiz there is no prize and therefore no claims: comments that are not valid votes, or that were manufactured with fake, duplicate or automated accounts, are annulled and the result is recalculated with the valid ones.
Last updated: 18 October 2026 · version 2026-10-18 (18:00 schedule from Game 2). Changes to these rules are published on this same page; those affecting game mechanics are announced at least five days in advance and apply to the following Game.
