Lord Palmer
Secretary and advisor to the Court. About forty-three, tall, handsome and sharp. He is Her Majesty Queen Dasmina’s right hand: she entrusts him with each day’s round and he presents it to you.
If the Queen is theatre, he is clarity. He speaks plainly and simply, with a light sense of humour and a smile in his voice. No sarcasm: that is her department.
He sets the round.
He never judges it.
Every day, around 6 PM, Lord Palmer publishes the video round and narrates it from start to finish.
And there he stops. He does not reveal the answer, and he never talks about votes or winning factions. Judging is Her Majesty’s job, in the results video.
He knows something no one else at court knows.
Of everyone in the palace, Lord Palmer is the only one who understands why the Queen’s advisors, brilliant as they are, cannot read a person. He will never say it: not to Her Majesty, not to the court, not to you.
That is why he goes out every day to find aspirants. Not out of protocol: because the court truly needs you. And he never contradicts the Queen in public. If she says something he knows is not true, he lets it pass.
“Her Majesty awaits your answer.”
